Blake is an alumnus of the University of Florida and holds a degree in English/Cultural Studies and Religion. He has put these skills and studies to use ever since as an author in the subject areas of earth based spirituality, paganism, alternative healing, and related topics. Blake has been a prolific contributing author to Llewellyn Worldwide’s Almanacs and Annuals since 2011. On the occassion in which the awen decides to inspire his poetic faculties, his poetry has been featured in Touchstone: The Journal of the Order of Bards, Ovates, and Druids.  

​Blake has trained extensively with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies through their advanced in-person programs as well as with teachers from various other traditions of shamanic practice. He is also a member of the Circle of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, supporting the Foundation’s work of respectful and informed shamanic education, and the preservation of shamanic knowledge and cultures worldwide.

​Blake is also an experienced Reiki Master-Teacher in the Usui Shiki Ryoho lineage of Traditional Usui Reiki. He is also a Druid Grade member of the Order of Bards, Ovates, and Druids and is currently furthering his studies in the mystery school of the Order. 

​With his knowledge and experience in shamanic practices, Reiki, and druidry he works in partnership with the Helping Spirits and clients to facilitate healing using the tools of past life regression, energetic cord cutting, power animal retrieval, extraction, psychopomp, and soul retrieval. 

Blake is also a legally ordained minister in all fifty states and is pleased to be able to serve wherever the services of clergy are needed. 

Supporting, facilitating, and contributing to the community is important within the ethos of Blake’s spiritual traditions. He is a member of the Cambridge Shamanic Circle (Cambridge, Massachusetts) and for two years formerly served as the Circle’s co-coordinator. Blake is also a member of the Mystic River Grove (New England) of the Order of Bards, Ovates, and Druids. 

Further, he is Co-Leader and Abbot of a Brigidine Cill of diverse Flamekeepers dedicated to the tending of Goddess Brigid’s Eternal Flame. During their flamekekeeping shifts, the members engage in prayer and healing work for all those in need, serving the community.

​He also serves as half of a musical duo with his husband, Gwain Nighthawk, creating their own special brand of shamanic inspired world fusion with world flutes, percussion, and didgeridoo. The two have produced an album of their work titled Canyon Storm. 

In his spare time Blake enjoys reading, hiking and exploring the gorgeous natural areas of New England, and crafting via the medium of fiber arts. He lives in the Merrimack Valley region of New Hampshire with his loving husband.
